The Longitudinal and Intergenerational Determinants of Aging and Mortality project, headed by Martha Bailey (UCLA), is a related project to Bailey's LIFE-M project. LIFE-M links birth, death, and census records to create life histories. The Determinants of Aging project collected and digitized cause of death data from Ohio for the period 1908 to the 1940s. In documenting the data, the project team had interesting discussions about variable names, particularly for the cause of death classification variables.
